Kickstarter games pledges total $107.6 million

Kickstarter pledges to games alone total $107.6 million, according to a report on the funding site, with $22,423,264 pledged to games since 2009.

According to the stats, since the service started in 2009, 1,476 new games have been funded by 633,242 backers.

Over 4,500 game projects have appeared on the service with nearly 1,000 in the past year alone.

Some of the games-related projects which have earned the most from Kickstarter are as follows: $10,266,845 -Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android; $8,596,474 - Ouya; $3,986,929 - Project Eternity; $3,336,371 - Double Fine Adventure; $2,933,252 - Wasteland 2; $2,437,429 - Oculus Rift; and $2,405,511 (£1,578,316) -Elite: Dangerous.
