Just Cause 4 is real, features huge explosions

Just Cause 4 is a thing, it has a trailer, there are explosions in it.

The game premiered during Xbox's E3 conference, a few days after being leaked on Steam. As ever, it looks like the silliness is being taken up a notch with Just Cause 4. But how do you make a game where you can ride a jet more exciting?

The answer, of course, is to let you ride a tornado, which you can actually do in Just Cause 4. Why you need or want to do this is anyone’s guess, but it is pretty much all I want to do in a game now.

The trailer strikes a much more somber tone than you might expect from Just Cause, but it also makes it clear just how wild the new game is going to be.

This time Rico will be taking on the Black Hand, an extremely powerful private army, with the usual mix of grapples and wingsuits and vehicular manslaughter.

Some new screenshots have been released too, showing off the game's destructive tenancies.

Whew, between this, Generation Zero, and Rage 2, Avalanche sure is a busy studio these days, huh?

Just Cause 4 is due to launch on December 4 for PC, XBox One, and PS4. Hopefully it will smooth out some of the third game's rough edges.
