Jurassic World Evolution 2 out this year on consoles and PC

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is coming this year to consoles and PC.

During Summer Game Fest, actor Jeff Goldblum stopped by to announce Jurassic World Evolution 2, a sequel to Frontier Development's previous title.

Goldblum will reprise his role from the films as Ian Malcolm as he did in the first Evolution game.

In the game, you will build your park beyond the confines of the Muertes Archipelago. The game is set immediately after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and will immerse you in an original Jurassic World story as you lead efforts to control, conserve and contain dinosaurs.

Along with Goldblum, the game will feature the character Claire Dearing voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard.

You can expect four game modes, and an enhanced and expanded roster of dinosaurs, new terrain, and challenges. Biomes include dense forests and deserts, and more than 75 prehistoric species, including flying and marine reptiles. These creatures will display new behaviors as they interact with each other, fight for dominance, and "react intelligently to the world around them."

There's also a sandbox mode where you can create your perfect Park, and then there's Chaos Theory mode that offers a re-imagined take on moments from the Jurassic World film franchise as you "strive to make your own mark and change the course of events."

Finally, for those that want to test their skills, there is Challenge mode.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be launching in late 2021 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
