Join Us All Day Monday for Destiny Livestreams* [Update: Over!]

*(Unless the servers barf, which is how it usually goes on day one of an MMO.)

This article first appeared on USgamer, a partner publication of VG247. Some content, such as this article, has been migrated to VG247 for posterity after USgamer's closure - but it has not been edited or further vetted by the VG247 team.

Destiny, the first big and/or heavily marketed game of the fall launches on Tuesday, and like many other websites we have our review copies in hand already.

The weird thing is, our review copies don't actually work yet. Activision and Bungie won't be turning on the game's servers until Monday at 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT. Until then, our copies are literally nothing but a pretty title screen. Once the servers activate, though, we have carte blanch to stream to our heart's content — and stream we will. Both Jaz and I will be streaming throughout the entire day Monday — not constantly, mind you. We need to do stuff like "publish articles" and "have staff meetings" and "take bathroom breaks." But we'll be playing consistently, if not constantly.

Check in on this page Monday and there's a good chance you'll see one or the other of us playing live as we work on our official USgamer review of the game. Jaz will be on the official USgamer Twitch account, and I'll be streaming from my disused personal account.

Or, you know, you could just watch here on this page with the embedded players and enjoy watching us team up and bumble around asynchronously.

Of course, this does come with a few caveats... mainly, this all depends on the good graces of the servers themselves. Assuming the Destiny rollout goes as planned, we'll be up and shooting most of the day. But massive online games never go as planned, so expect hiccups and hilarity. Don't worry, you'll be able to tell if things aren't working right with a glance at Twitter — if you don't see a bunch of game journalists complaining about their deadlines, all is well.

We'll see you online! Hopefully!

Free free to add us to your friends list, too. I'm toastyfrog on PSN. Jaz and I will be working on Destiny throughout the week with the goal of having a full review on Friday. Maybe sooner, but it's a big game, and we want to be thorough. Come join our fire team and help us kill the assorted alien menaces.
