Battlefield Premium launches today with BF3 Close Quarters on PS3

Peter Moore and Patrick Bach took the stage at EA's E3 press conference to talk about Battlefield 3, as well as the launch of Battlefield Premium.

Those who join the new service today, can start playing Close Quarters today on PS3 as well. PC and Xbox 360 users can join next week. It will run you $50.

"We're listening to our fans and giving them more content. That's why today, we're pleased to announced Battlefield 3 Premium," said Bach who then reiterated the slated release schedule for BF3 DLC.

The last of the DLC, out in March 2013, will feature the debut of bikes to the game. The duo closed out their speech by showing the BF premium trailer which leaked last night.

Since Battlefield 3 launched, over 1.6 trillion bullets have been fired and 43 million flight hours have been logged by 15 million players worldwide.
