Joe Danger, Joe Danger 2 coming to Linux, Mac

Joe Danger and its sequel are on their way too Linux and Mac via Steam, bringing their platform count to six.

Developer Hello Games announced the two new ports but didn't give a release date beyond "real soon".

The Linux and Mac releases are ports of the PC port. Once released, Joe Danger will be available on six platforms, excluding the upcoming Vita release.

"The Linux version is especially exciting for us because it means Joe will be ready for SteamOS," Hello Games said.

"Basically, for us, the PC versions are the ultimate versions of Joe Danger, and we always saw Joe Danger as a living room game with you and your friends taking turns on levels, beating each others’ scores and shouting at each other like we do. So it’s kind of fitting that JD will be appearing on Linux just as SteamOS comes along and helps Steam move into the living room."

Thanks, Joystiq.
