JAW boss: Something Oddworld-related to be announced, possibly released "by end of July"

Just Add Water boss Stewart Gilray has told VG247 that something on the studio's Oddworld revival will be announced by the end of July, and may even release in the same period.

But as for any gamescom announcements, stick a knife in them: Gilray says there's nothing planned for the "big stuff" at the German show next month.

"Right now, we’re not planning anything for gamescom at all," he said. "So put those rumours to bed right now.

"We are doing something which will be announced, I’m liking to think, by the end of July, and might even be released by the end of July. But none of the 'big stuff' will be announced yet. Not gamescom, nothing on that."

He went on to add: "So for everybody saying to us, ‘Oh, it’s gamescom’: nothing is gamescom."

The studio announced on early Friday morning that it was creating several Oddworld titles "across multiple platforms."
