Japanese charts: Vita decline continues, Mario Kart 7 tops software

PlayStation Vita sales have suffered for a second week, seeing another decline and even beaten by PSP again.

Fourth-placed Vita sold 42,648 units compared to PSP's 62,746 in third. The small bit of consolation comes in the form that it beat Wii's 33,208 units.

3DS sales for the week just fell short of 200,000 units, selling in the end 197,952 units, outselling Vita by 5:1. PS3 came second with 67,199 units sold.

On software, the only two titles in the top 30 were Everybody's Golf 6 in 28 and Uncharted: Golden Abyss was at 29

Mario Kart 7 was the final number one of 2011, with Monster Hunter 3G and Warriors Orochi 2 in second and third.
