Jaffe: Twisted Metal graphics will improve, but looks aren't everything

David Jaffe has said that the graphics of his new Twisted Metal game will improve, though they will never reach the level of Killzone 3 or Uncharted 2.

Speaking in response to a tweet, which criticised Twisted Metal's visuals and asked if they would be improved before launch, Jaffe said:

"Depending on the level, graphics and fx it will get a 10-30% bump. But it will never be Uncharted 2 or Killzone 3.

"If that is the kind of game one demands, one should look elsewhere when it comes to this title."

Jaffe also went on to say that when it comes to making games it's not always just about the graphics.

"There's all sorts of trade offs that affect visuals and we feel we are making great choices even if it means our artists can't express themselves fully with the amazing talent they have."

David Jaffe revealed his new Twisted Metal game at the end of Sony's E3 conference last week.

Twisted Metal is due for release in 2011.
