Iran-developed shooter E.T. Armies shows old-school action

Thanks to the lifting of international sanctions against Iran, we finally get to see what will surely be the first of many games developed in the region.

E.T. Armies is a sci-fi shooter from Tehran-based developer Raspina. Based on Unreal Engine, E.T. Armies is the studio's first game, and one of the first higher-profile titles to come out of Iran.

We are of course seeing this because of the recent lifting of international sanctions against the country, which previously meant Western publishers couldn't bring Iranian-devolved games to an international audience.

E.T. Armies supports a full single-player as well as multiplayer modes. The developer is pitching it as an old-school shooter. It's scheduled for release March 3 on Steam, priced $14.99, £10.99, €14.99.
