IO to demo Hitman crowd tech at GDC

IO Interactive's confirmed it'll be showcasing the G2-Crowd Technology used in Hitman Absolution at GDC.

The G2- Crowd Tech is a new feature of IO's Glacier 2 engine, built from the ground up to meet the high demands of the development team to achieve what they want with Hitman Absolution's crowd.

Its been built to feature a very dense crowd in the game, which'll allow players to both interact and influence the behaviour of each individual in the crowd.

IO's physics programmer Kasper Fauerby will do a presentation describing the technology at the conference. It'll take place on Wednesday at room 2006, West Hall of the Moscone Center, 2nd Floor.
