Insurgency: Sandstorm comes to PS4 and Xbox One this August

Insurgency: Sandstorm finally has an official release date on consoles.

Insurgency: Sandstorm developer New World Interactive announced today that the game's long-awaited console release is happening this summer. Sandstorm will be available August 25 on PS4 and Xbox One.

The console version brings the same content currently available on PC to players on PS4 and Xbox One. This includes competitive multiplayer with its various modes, as well as Sandstorm's co-op modes. Player customisation will also make the transition.

This is New World's first console game, so we expect to hear more about the console version soon. Some technical details, such as framerate, and whether or not aim assist will be present have yet to be clarified.

The console version is also playable at publisher Focus Home Interactive's PAX East booth (#29017) this weekend, so give it a go if you're attending. Catch today's announcement trailer below.
