Indian gamers unhappy with EA raising Origin game prices

Gamers in India have created the Twitter hashtag #EAPCIndia to express their unhappiness with EA's new price points for games being sold on Origin in the country. Games had been going for 1000-1500 rupees ($16.50-25), but Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals pre-orders are going for a whopping 3500 rupees ($58).

Apparently, according to MCV India, folks elsewhere have been known to take advantage of shady VPN witchcraft to get into the Indian Origin store and buy stuff for way cheaper than they could get it elsewhere, and so EA might just be compensating for that. In any case, a lot of folks are not happy about this. For example:
