In Death Stranding, "something from another world" is stranding "in our world"

Hideo Kojima has provided a few more details on his upcoming title Death Stranding.

When we say few, me mean that literally, because as usual, Kojima's version of new details differs from the norm.

During a chat he gave at TGS 2016, he discussed the game's connection with strings again, and the concept of beach stranding.

In Death Stranding's case,"something from another world [is] stranding in our world," which means an alien of sorts. Is that alien Norman Reedus? It's fun to guess at this point anyway, and with equation on his dog tags possibly referring to the Schwarzschild radius, it's speculated he stranded on the beach via a black hole.

He said the logo for the game appears to have "dripping liquid" running off the letters, but these are cords.

"Strand, the word in psychological terms, means twisted threads and bonds," said Kojima through a translator, via GamesRadar."And this title, the theme is to connect.

"This is stranding. In Death Stranding there is story game and world view; it’s all connected by strand."

He also reiterated hints that the game would contain some form of online element and would be open-world.

"The genre is action and it’s an open world with a degree of freedom, and you can enjoy the story at the same time and there are some online elements," said Kojima.

If you look at the image behind him at one point, it shows an illustration of Kojima with his good friend Guillermo del Toro, Norman Reedus and what could possibly be Mads Mikkelsen holing hands along with a strand connecting the four men.

It's all enigmatic as usual and after his talk, we still have no further knowledge of the game.

Death Stranding is in development for PC and PlayStation 4.
