Importers should check out Amazon Japan because it now ships overseas

Want to import titles from Japan which aren't heading west or won't be for some time? Amazon Japan has you covered.

For those who haven't bothered or are a bit leery of import sites, Amazon Japan may be the answer for you.

The games ordered must be Amazon fulfilled games for the international shipping option. There may be a third-party dealer which offers the same deal on the retailer site, so you may wish to check.

In order to have the game imported, you will have to create an account through Amazon Japan. From what we've seen on NeoGAF and through various tweets, it won't work using your standard account. Various customers who have succeeded in ordering a game through the site are reporting shipping hits the $6-7 mark.

It's also worth remembering that 3DS and Wii U titles are region locked. PlayStation 3, PS4 and Vita games are region-free as are Xbox One titles. If you are looking for an older Xbox 360 game, those are region-locked depending upon the publisher.

So, if you are interested in PS4 titles Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune - which is not heading west - or Dragon Quest Builders which has yet to be announced for the west, you might want to have a look on Amazon Japan as just one importing option.
