Blame those who play Pokemon Go while driving.

Thanks to a rash of fatal and non-fatal driving accidents related to Pokemon Go, Niantic Labs has updated the app accordingly.

According to Digital Trends, once the update is applied, those who are travelling over 30 mph, even if they are a passenger in the car, Pokemon will not spawn near them.

This is a bit of a problem for those who play the game on the train, subway or other forms of public transportation. But again, blame the drivers who lie and click "I'm a Passenger" when the game detects they are moving too fast.

In other Pokemon Go news, Pokemon Go Plus was recently updated to include multiple notification modes. Scanning for both PokeStops or Pokemon simultaneously still remains the default setting, but users can now individually enable or disable each notification based on preference.

Also, when out and about with a Buddy Pokemon users can choose to receive no notifications at all, and just record distance walked.
