ID@Xbox boss asks indies to "get in touch" about parity clause

Xbox One self-publishing's controversial platform parity clause is something Microsoft wants to talk to indies about.

Speaking to Edge, ID@Xbox boss Chris Charla said Microsoft has registered the poor reception the parity requirement has received among developers.

"Obviously we’ve heard the feedback from developers and we’re looking at all the way the ways we can to lower barriers for developers," he said.

"But I really can’t comment on publishing policies. The reality is that developers should get in touch with us and talk."

The subject arose earlier this month when prolific but tiny indie Vlambeer decried the parity clause in the ID@Xbox Xbox One self-publishing scheme, which blocks games that have already been released on other platforms. Witch Beam was quick to echo Vlambeer's comments.
