Ian Livingstone to become Development Legend at Develop Awards

Intent's announced that Ian Livingstone's to be rewarded the Development Legend honour at the Develop Awards next month.

The Games Workshop co-founder and Square Enix life-president has spent the past 35 years in the industry, bringing Dungeons and Dragons to Europe, creating Fighting Fantasy and helped bring to market massive IPs as part of Eidos, such as Tomb Raider.

"I'm very fortunate to have been part of the UK games industry for over 35 years," said Livingstone on his award.

"To receive this coveted Award is a genuine honour. Recognition by the development community is particularly satisfying and I am very grateful."

Previous recipients include Peter Molyneux, Phil Harrison, David Braben and Charles Cecil.

The Develop Awards will take place as part of Develop in Brighton next month on July 20.
