Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity on Switch breaks sales record

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has sold really well.

Released last week on Friday, November 20, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has already sold 3 million copies.

Koei Tecmo called it a record for the series.

It is now the best-selling game in the Warriors franchise which includes the likes of Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem: Warriors.

A spin-off of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the game focuses on the catastrophe depicted in the past. The focus is on a battle that took place 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild.

A dramatic story is drawn along with the action unique to the Musou series and contains familiar characters such as Link.

If you are contemplating picking the game up, be sure, and give our review of the title a read. Alex calls it "a fun, interesting and exciting new adventure" that fans will surely enjoy.

You can also see what other critics think of the game in our reviews round-up.

Finally, if you are still on the fence, a demo for the game is now available. The demo will let you experience the action and dramatic cutscenes, which shed light on the events that led to the Great Calamity.
