These UK shops are offering hands-on demos of HTC Vive from today

UK residents interested in trying out the HTC Vive can visit five retail locations from today and get hands-on with the VR headset.

Select Currys PC World, Overclockers, and Scan stores located in Bolton, Leeds, London, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Reading will host individual trial sessions of HTC Vive.

Here's the list of stores provided by Ars Technica. You can find the address for each store through the link.

  • Currys PC World Leeds (Birstall) - Leeds
  • Currys PC World Reading Gate - Reading
  • Currys PC World Tottenham Court Road - London
  • Overclockers UK - Newcastle-under-Lyme
  • Scan Computers International Ltd - Bolton

Each retailer will be taking pre-orders for the £689 headset and offering in-store pick-up. Vive is also available for pre-order online, but has a hefty delivery charge. In the US shipping is $30 and in the UK £57.60.

Vive will release in early April for $799, coming after the launch of  Oculus Rift in March for $600. Sony announced this week it would release PlayStation VR in October for $400.
