How well does The Division run on PC with everything cranked up to 11?
With the PC embargo lifted for The Division, we now know what your rig needs to run it and that it supports 4K and other bells and whistles which make the game look lovely. But how well does the game run with all the graphics options turned all the way up?
Arekkz answers that question for you in the video above. Unfortunately, he wasn't permitted to film the PC version of the game during the press event he attended in Malmo, Sweden. This is why the footage seen in the video was taken on Xbox One.
Arekkz was still able to offer his impressions regarding this particular version of the game and provide details on keyboard and UI customization options.
As with many PC games, keybindings are completely up to the player and the UI features can be moved anywhere on the screen. Even to a second screen if that's how you roll.
Do you have a triple-monitor set-up? The Division supports that as well, and this was Arekkz's set-up during his first-look.
Text chat is also available in the game alongside voice chat with your group-members. Apparently, when you head into the Dark Zones, you can let other players outside your group know you're "friendly" so they won't shoot you. They may anyway, but it's nice to know you can assure others you're not out to take their stuff.
Another neat feature is the LED keyboard option integrated into the game. Those who own one that lights up can bind their health to a key, which will flash when they need to heal. There's a binding for members of your group too, which will flash when a teammate is low on health and needs help.
There are loads of graphics settings, and Arekkz said the game runs super smooth on PC and doesn't have the same sporadic tearing issues some experienced with the Xbox One version.
That being said, once he stepped away from playing the PC version, Arekkz said he was still impressed with how the console version looked. So that's good news for Xbox One and PS4 players.
Arekkz will be playing the beta for The Division next week on both PC and Xbox One, and he will provide impressions on both platforms once he's had ample time with both.
