How to Get Charmander in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

Charmander is definitely one of the more recognisable creatures in all of Pokemon. They come from the famous trio of Bulbasaur and Squirtle, after all. In our Pokemon Let's Go Charmander guide, we'll be providing you with all the information you need to know in how to get Charmander in Pokemon Let's Go.

How to Get a Charmander in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

As we mentioned earlier, you’ll begin your game with either Pikachu or Eevee as your starter Pokemon. There isn’t a choice of starter Pokemon in either of these games, unlike Pokemon Go, where you got to choose between Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle as your beginner creature.

But why would you want to go to the trouble of obtaining Charmander in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee? Simply speaking, Charmander has the ability to evolve into one of the best Fire-type Pokemon in the entire game: Charizard. This flying beast is one of the most recognisable Pokemon around the whole world, and you can evolve Charmander into Charizard by simply levelling up the former creature.

You’ll need to make it all the way to Route 24, if you want to obtain a Charmander. This area is just north from Cerulean City, and once you’ve crossed the extended bridge, where roughly five trainers will take you on in battle, keep heading up from there.

You’ll see a man and a Charmander standing with their backs against a rock wall. Approach the man, and he’ll tell you that he’s willling to give you the Charmander, but only if you’ve captured over 50 Pokemon in total.

Unfortunately, duplicate Pokemon aren’t counted for this challenge. Therefore, you’ll have to capture 50 unique Pokemon in total. When you’ve done this, return to the man on Route 24, and the Charmander will be all yours to claim.

Now that we’re all done with this particular guide to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, you can continue ahead to any of our additional guides on the game. Check out our pages on either how to change your Pokemon’s name, or how to change your outfit in Pokemon Let’s Go for more.
