HMV holding 3DS midnight launches in London and Liverpool

HMV's announced its launch night plans for 3DS, confirming that flagship stores in London and Liverpool will see the new handheld in from March 24.

Both events will begin at 11.00pm GMT on March 24, an hour before the console releases.

In London, celeb appearances will come from comedian Russell Kane, Plan B, Hadouken DJ Yoda and Parade at a special VIP party.

For the main launch itself at HMV Oxford Street, the first 500 people through the doors will get to have a free 3DS game of their choice.

The launch in Liverpool will take place at HMV in LiverpoolOne.

Those two stores, as well as 100 others around the UK, will launch 3DS come midnight on March 25.
