Hitman dev officially working on a new game for PC and consoles

IO Interactive's next project is currently in the works, and publisher Warner Bros. will once again be along for the ride.

Hitman developer IO Interactive has announced today that it's currently hiring for its next project. Though the game itself has not been revealed, IO confirmed that Warner Bros. will publish and distribute it.

The mysterious new project is coming to PC and consoles, and is currently in development at both the main Denmark office, and the recently established Sweden branch. IO is currently looking to fill various positions at both studios as production ramps up.

IO has, of course, recently hinted that it's working on more than just Hitman, but this is the first official confirmation, even if we would have hoped to learn more. Though the game has yet to be officially revealed, securing publishing is a critical step for an independent studio.

IO is also currently working on Hitman 2 DLC content, with the game having recently received the Haven Island location.
