Hideo Kojima won't be attending E3

Hideo Kojima's revealed via a tweet that he won't be attending E3 in person this year.
He also stated that he's giving an interview to former 1UP editor Mark MacDonald as he won't be at the show.
Obviously, this means the Metal Gear overlord won't be making an appearance in either Microsoft's or Sony's press conferences.
However, don't be heartbroken just yet: Konami's holding a pre-E3 event on June 2 and a full show conference next week, and it's been more or less confirmed that at least two new Kojima Production titles would be shown there.
Earlier today, Kojima announced that recording for his new title has begun.
