Hideo Kojima shares Death Stranding details on Twitter

Of all the things announced at E3, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding has to be the weirdest. The trailer's bizarre style raised far more questions than answers, immediately prompting the internet to dissect it for clues and theories. Based on some recent tweets on Kojima Productions Twitter account, that may have been the entire point.

Of course, the tweets themselves require some digesting. Instead of keeping to 140 characters or linking to a blog post, Kojima Productions broke everything into 9 image files and tweeted them individually. Some context is provided on each tweet, but like everything else with Death Stranding's reveal, it's absolutely bizarre. In short, Kojima wants to use action game mechanics to explore alternate meanings of death, tying it all to theories of sticks and ropes being the first inventions of humankind. Yeah, we're not entirely sure what it means either. For that reason, we've embedded each tweet for your reading convenience.

Whatever Death Stranding may be, whenever it launches, at least it's going to be entertaining to parse all this out. The game is planned for PlayStation 4.
