Here's a really cool fan remake of the Wipeout intro

Here's something fun for your Tuesday.

Benjamin Brosdau, a fan of the first Wipeout, has remade the intro cinematic for the PS1 and Sega Saturn title.

Brosdau said work on the project started back in 2009, but was put off for various reasons.

Earlier this year, files related to the project were found on a hard drive, and Brosdau reworked everything from scratch.

According to the video description, Brosdau used few kitbash sets and created the intro predominantly in 3dsmax and V-Ray, with "additional stuff from Houdini and Renderman."

It's really well done and you should give it a watch.

The original Wipeout, a series of futuristic anti-gravity racing games (with an awesome soundtrack), was released back in 1995 for the original PlayStation and DOS. It released the following year for Sega Saturn.

It was later re-released as a downloadable game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable via the PlayStation Network in 2007.
