Here's how to enable Oculus Rift support for Alien: Isolation

Alien: Isolation was believed to have Oculus Rift support at one point, it was even demoed with the VR headset, but publisher Sega later said it was just a prototype. Talented PC modders have dug into the files and found out how to re-enable it.

The tweaks appeared on NeoGAF, and they're incredibly easy to replicate, provided you have a Rift of course.

All you need to do is head to ENGINE_SETTINGS.XML file, found in your DATA folder in the game's directory, look for 'stereo options' and change the values to:

< setting name="Stereo Mode">
< quality name="Rift" precedence="4">
< quality name="Off" precedence="4">
< /setting>

Finally you need to set Oculus to extended mode, and pause the service in the Oculus config utility and you're set.
