Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta testers are probably already pretty excited, but EA has put together a trailer anyway. Record beta numbers is a pretty handy arrow to add to your marketing quiver, so more attention can't hurt, I guess.

The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta starts on Wednesday for those who pre-ordered before the cut off day, but will open to others in stages. hit that link for the exact times and details, as well as a schedule of what's on offer throughout the test.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 itself releases in November, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It's been generating plenty of interest since EA is making a lot of the right noises about recognising the problems with the first game and addressing them in full for the second.

That means a proper single-player campaign and some really interesting changes to the hero and vehicle systems, as well as space battles. Nice.
