Helldivers gets free new expansion today, retail version in August
Helldivers has received another batch of free content.
Helldivers developer Arrowhead has announced Masters of the Galaxy, a free expansion that's now live for all owners of the game. The expansion adds new Master units to all three factions.
These are the Hive Lord for the bugs, the Siege Mech for the Cyborgs, and the Great Eye for the Illuminate. The free update also comes with new trophies and an additional round of optional paid DLC.
A retail edition has also been announced, called the Super-Earth Ultimate Edition. It will be available starting August 18 and will come with the base game, Turning Up the Heat and Masters of the Galaxy expansions, as well as 11 DLC packs, a bonus weapons pack, and a dynamic PS4 theme.
As for digital, a bundle will be available for a limited time, to celebrate the release of the new DLC, for $20. It will come with the Entrenched Pack — The AT-47 Anti-Tank Emplacement turret, the Anti-Personnel Barrier, and the SH-32 Directional Kinetic shield.
