Hellblade 2 to use Unreal Engine 5

Hellblade 2 will indeed be using Unreal Engine 5.

Since the official reveal of Unreal Engine 5, everyone is wondering if the next-gen sequel to their favourite game will be utilising Epic Games' stunning new engine.

Only a few developers have so far confirmed they're using UE5, including InXile with its next-gen Xbox exclusive. Ninja Theory, another Microsoft studio, has also revealed that Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga will be using Unreal Engine 5.

The detail comes from an official Xbox blog post which recaps all confirmed details so far about Xbox Series X itself, the technology it will introduces, and Microsoft's approach to fluid console generations.

Hellblade 2 was the first Xbox Series X game to be announced, having been revealed alongside the console at last year's Game Awards. We have nothing other than the in-engine trailer to go on, but it looks to be a bigger, more visually impressive sequel.
