Take a gander at Halo: The Master Chief Collection's version of Lockout

Halo: The Master Chief Collection's fifth remastered map is Lockout.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes multiplayer modes for all the bundled games, but Halo 2: Anniversary Edition is getting the most development love from 343 Industries because Halo 3 and beyond are still very up to date, and the first Halo got a thorough working over in its own Anniversary Edition.

Lockout is the fifth remastered map to be announced, following Sanctuary, Zanzibar, Coagulation and Ascension. Here's what Halo 2 lead designer and now Certain Affinity president Max Hoberman told Gamespot about the revamped version:

"Lockout was hands-down the most popular small arena-style map in Halo 2. We're thrilled to be bringing this fan-favorite back, and are paying close attention to the details and subtleties that made the original great while also making a couple of very careful, very calculated enhancements," he wrote.

Announced changes to the map include extra cover and an optional dynamic event. Take a look at some comparison screens in the gallery below.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to Xbox One in November and includes the four numbered Halo games - but not Reach - along with live action series Halo: Nightfall and access to the Halo 5: Guardians beta.

By the way, if you're yet to get on board Halo and want the whole collection, Halo: Reach is included in Games With Gold September.
