Halo: Spartan Assault arrives on Xbox One this month

Halo: Spartan Assault makes the jump from Windows 8 and Windows Phone this month, popping onto your Xbox One before Chrimbo.

A new Xbox Wire post confirms a December 24 Xbox One launch for the twin-stick shooter, ahead of a January release for Xbox 360.

The Xbox One version offers native 1080p at 60FPS and includes a brand new cooperative mode and new weapons, as well as the Operation Hydra content release as DLC for the Windows 8 version.

If you already own the Windows 8 or Windows Phone version or grab it before December 15, you can pick up the Xbox One port for just $5 - otherwise it'll set you back $15.

A new trailer follows.
