Halo: Reach tipped to be biggest seller of this year, says GI survey

Halo Reach

According to results from a GI Network Survey, Halo: Reach will be the biggest selling game of 2010, with Final Fantasy XIII and Starcraft II coming second and third.

Meanwhile, Alan Wake was tipped as the year's top "dark horse," with Heavy Rain and Darksiders rounding off the top three.

As far as genres went, music is predicted to further decline. Over 33.7 percent of those polled fancied the genre will continue to dip, while 32.3 percent said casual/social games will rise.

Earlier in the week, it was announced that Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2, both of which won best game of 2009 and most antcipated game of 2010 in the VG247 community awards, were announced as the winners of the same catagories in the GI survey.
