Player customisation in Halo Infinite to be on the same level seen in Reach, multiplayer tests kick off in 2020

Halo Infinite has a full year ahead of it.

In an end-of-year recap post, Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries revealed a few new details about the game.

The developer confirmed that Halo Infinite will indeed be playable in 2020 by the general public through Flighting - essentially beta/alpha tests. As always, these will start small and limited, before more players are invited and more content is shared.

It's not exactly clear what 343 will be testing, or when the first of these will begin, but it's fair to say they're going to focus on the game's multiplayer. To that end, the blog post also revealed that 343 has its own internal pro player team to assist with balance, which is the general approach followed during the development of Halo 5.

As far as game features, 343 said it already has split-screen "up and running", and further confirmed that Halo Infinite will support LAN. Armour customisation, a massive part of Halo games, will be expanded on in Halo Infinite.

Although, again, details are slim, the developer said it should make Halo: Reach fans pleased. Creator mode Forge is also part of Halo Infinite, and it's going to introduce undo and redo functions for the first time.

Finally, 343 gave us a look at some fresh Halo Infinite art, which you can see in the gallery above.
