Halo 5 teaser site is looking for the truth about Master Chief

Halo 5 may begin with our hero being hunted down as a traitor.

A new Halo 5: Guardians teaser site has delivered its promised update, and paints a worrisome picture.

The site is presented as an episodic investigation into the truth about Master Chief.

According to fictional journalist and war photographer Benjamin Giraud, an attempt to write the ultimate biography of the celebrated hero fell apart when he discovered all kinds of concerning details. Now, Giraud is determined to learn the truth - even if it's an ugly one.

The site now displays a short audio clip as well as an introductory text post, with new episodes expected each week.

It also has a new version of the teaser clip posted last week, which you can scrub through looking for details. Remember that Microsoft is fond of altrnate reality games and secretive clues in its promotional campaigns, ala I Love Bees, so there may be more than meets the eye.

Let me remind you that we saw an allegedly leaked image from what is said to be a live action trailer for Halo 5 Guardians, in which an unknown soldier - likely Agent Locke - stood above a down-and-out Master Chief. Could this soldier have been sent to hunt down the Chief? Are we going to play as Chief's nemesis?

Halo 5: Guardians is coming to Xbox One this year. Expect more details out of E3 2015.
