Halo 5: Guardians has gone gold, digital pre-downloading starts next week

Halo 5: Guardians has officially gone gold, which means the discs are being pressed at a factory as we speak.

The game will be made available for pre-download next week for those who pre-order digitally.

343 Industries will release a multiplayer content update, prior to launch, which will "supplement the online multiplayer" with map content for Arena Multiplayer and the 12v12 Warzone.

Digital customers will need to make sure the Power Setting on their Xbox One is set to “Instant On” so the download will occur automatically prior to October 27. This will ensure they are ready for launch day.

Those who have a physical version will have to download the the content update on launch day.

Halo 5: Guardians contains all sorts of modes, maps and other nifty shooting goodness. The infographic below gives you a breakdown of what to expect.
