Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition confirmed by Microsoft

Microsoft has confirmed that a new Halo 4 SKU bundled with all DLC is on the way to retail.

UPDATE:

A Microsoft rep has confirmed the bundle to IGN by way of the following statement:

“A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.”

ORIGINAL STORY: The news comes via IGN, which received a photo from an anonymous source showing what seems to be part of a presentation.

According to the image, the Game of the Year Edition is due in October, priced at $50, and includes content worth $80 if purchased separately:

  • Halo 4
  • Spartan Ops Season 1
  • War Games Map Pass
  • Halo 4 Champions Bundle
  • Pre-order and special edition exclusive bonus content

Microsoft has not yet confirmed or commented on the re-release.
