Guild Wars 2 beta event detailed - no NDA, Lion's Arch open

ArenaNet won't muffle the cries of "pure awesomesauce" expected to arise from next weekend's Guild Wars 2 beta event.

Being a public beta, you're free to share your experiences by whatever means you wish; there's no NDA on anything.

Testers can create charr, humans, or norn, will have access to all eight professions, and can roll multiple characters.

World vs World multiplayer will be available on four maps, in addition to several small group PvP areas, and the city of Lion's Arch will be playable for the first time.

The developer notes that entry to the beta is guaranteed for those who have pre-purchased - but not the million or so registered testers waiting in line.

The Guild Wars 2 beta event kicks off on April 27. Full launch is expected later this year.
