GTA Online gets new Doomsday Heist next week, will take you inside Mount Chiliad

It's time for one last job. With jetpacks and flying cars.

In a surprise announcement from Rockstar, GTA Online's Doomsday Heist will go live next week, December 12.

Watch the first trailer and hold on to your ass.

Here's the briefing direct from Rockstar: "A billionaire tech mogul, an idealistic intelligence agent, a socially awkward conspiracy theorist and a neurotic supercomputer have been forced into an unlikely alliance to save San Andreas from total annihilation.

"As apocalyptic threats mount from enemies unknown, you and your criminal crew are enlisted to un-tangle mysteries and eradicate threats spanning from the bustling streets of downtown Los Santos to the ocean floor and all the way to the inner depths of Mount Chiliad in an epic new online adventure."

Taking a quick look at the trailer we can see flying (submarine) cars, jetpacks and a new type of tank added to the game. Hope you've got some dollars saved up, because that s**t is likely to be expensive.

Rockstar has previously hinted that Heists - the multi-mission four-player co-op jobs introduced three years ago - wouldn't be regular DLC for the game so we'd kind of given up hope that there would be any more released.

But that's certainly four player characters working together in the trailer, with nutbar Lester coordinating proceedings.

It seems we're getting the gang back together, maybe for one last time?
