GTA 5: 'It won't come out in 2012', says retailer

GTA 5 madness continues with each new screenshot sending the press into a frenzy of analysis, as well as a now-debunked release date of November 23rd. An anonymous retailer has also stepped forward and revealed that the date was wishful thinking at best.

UPDATE: Eurogamer Portugal originally reported that it was given a November 23 release date by Zavvi last night. However, the site has since changed its stance after being contacted by the retailer.

Zavvi confirmed to Eurogamer Portugal that it had removed the November 23rd date from its site, that it was purely speculative, and was not based on any information from suppliers.

Elsewhere, an anonymous retail source told Videogamer that they could "bet my wife, my house and your life on it not coming out this year."

So there you go, normal service can resume.

Oh and screens, everyone likes screens, right?
