Greedfall's violent launch trailer shows the various conflicts of Spiders Studios' ambitious new RPG

Greedfall, the new huge fantasy RPG from virtuoso AA studio Spiders Studios, has received a final trailer ahead of its release.

The game is due out this week - September 10, which is tomorrow in certain regions as of this post - on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. You'll play a diplomat who arrives at the fantasy island of Teer Fradee and has to fight, level-up, and make a bunch of choices. It's standard western RPG stuff, but Greedfall looks like the biggest game the studio has yet produced.

The trailer below doesn't show off any real gameplay footage: it's all about setting the tone and showing off the game's story.

It's a lot of cutscenes, but we have plenty of other footage to go over, if you want - the release date trailer showed us a bit of combat, but last month's gameplay trailer is what you want if you really want to see how it plays. It's shaping up to be a pretty interesting game.

The embargo ends tomorrow - hopefully Greedfall will deliver on its promise. Until then, we can watch this trailer and cross our fingers.
