Golly gee, the Kojima Productions mascot has a face now

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima went indie late last year after months of drama with Konami, taking his studio name with him (which explains Konami's seemingly bizarre behaviour). The new, indie Kojipro has a new logo: a skull in some sort of mechanical helmet.

Likely due to elaborate promotional campaigns for Silent Hills and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, everyone's hugely fascinated by this damned logo and convinced it hints at whatever it is Kojipro is working on for release in the year Umpteen. Although Kojima has confirmed the figure is the studio's "mascot" rather than a character, every little bit of news about it is ravenously devoured and then vomited back up to be inspected for clues.

Anyway, today's update is that Gamespot has a new image of Ludens (that's its name) showing a bit of human-like face instead of just robotic skull bits, and the phrase "I'll keep coming". Go and have a look at it; the slice above is just a piece of it.

Is it holding some sort of device? Is it saluting? Does it mean anything? Assuming it does, does it mean anything to do with an actual game? Who the heck knows. Enjoy speculating.

Kojima's new game is coming to PS4, probably some time before the universe succumbs to heat death.
