GOG Connect lets you add DRM-free versions of Steam games to your GOG library

CD Projekt has announced a new GOG program which allows users to add Steam games to their library.

GOG Connect lets you add DRM-free versions of Steam games to your GOG library

Called GOG Connect, it provides the player with DRM-free versions of some previously purchased Steam games.

According to the notice, these "are limited-time opportunities" from developers and publishers participating in the program. More partners will and games will be announced in the future.

All GOG users have to do is connect their Steam account and add the eligible games to their library. Then, the user can choose between the standalone installers or the optional GOG Galaxy Client.

Current partners include Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more. At present, over 20 games can be added to the GOG library if previously purchased on Steam.

  • The Witness
  • FTL: Faster Than Light
  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
  • Galactic Civilizations 3
  • Trine Enchanted Edition
  • Saints Row 2
  • Shadowrun Returns
  • The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Available games "will come and go," as again they are limited-time offers. Be sure to stay tuned to the official page for more game announcements.
