God's Trigger is basically co-op Hotline Miami, and it's out next month

God's Trigger, the hyper-stylised top-down shooter from One More Level, officially has a release date.

God's Trigger was first unveiled in 2017, but the team has been relatively quiet ever since. Well, One More Level, and publisher Techland return today with an April 18 release date, and a new trailer.

God's Trigger is a top-down shooter in same vein as Hotline Miami. The game has an angel team up with a demon to prevent the end of the world. One of the game's unique mechanics is that it supports local co-op.

The one-hit-kill, ultra-violent style is still the name of the game, but it plays differently when two players jump in instead of just one. Matt called it a co-op Hotline Miami when he played it two years ago. When playing solo, you'll be able to switch between the two perspectives.

God's Trigger launches April 18 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Check out the latest trailer below to see it in action.
