Here's an hour of Kratos saying 'Boy' in God of War

Let's sit down and take the time to appreciate the many different ways Kratos calls Atreus 'Boy' in God of War.

If you've been following God of War at all, regardless of whether or not you actually played it, you will no doubt have noticed that Kratos sure does call his son Atreus 'Boy' a lot.

He does it so much and in so many parts of the game. His love for the world was pretty clear from the pre-release coverage, but no one could have prepared the world for how many times he actually says it over the course of the 40-hour game.

In fact, you can count the times he calls him by his actual name on one hand, and it mostly happens when he's strayed too far from Kratos.

It's always Boy this, Boy that. Players and pundits have been making fun of it since the game came out a week ago, but we're not here to rag on Dad of Boy. No, we're here to appreciate all the different ways actor Christopher Judge delivers the line.

There's a lot more to it than you might think, seeing as he calls Atreus 'Boy' under different circumstances. It's not always out of anger or disappointment.

The video below from YouTuber TuYasRecords is an hour-long edit of every time Kratos says 'Boy'. It's pretty magical, though beware of spoilers.

Cuts are pretty quick, so you won't have time to realise what's going on, but a spoiler is a spoiler. Most of it just loops, in case you're wondering.
