God of War: Ascension release date, special editions revealed

God of War: Ascension has been dated by Sony. The announcement also comes with some tasty special edition news.

PS Blog EU can reveal that God of War: Ascension will launch 15th March in the UK and Ireland, 14th March in Australi and New Zealand, and 13th March across the rest of Europe. Good times.

The blog post can also confirm that God of War: Ascension will receive two special editions at launch.

First up is the Collector’s Edition, which comes with an 8″ Kratos figurine. The game comes packed in a steel book case, along with an official soundtrack download token, a PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack.

Gamers going for this version will also receive a double XP bonus for multiplayer and a free DLC season pass for all future add-on content.

Alternatively, the Special Edition comes in a premium steel book game case, has a digital download soundtrack token, PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack, as well as the multiplayer double XP bonus unlock.
