Ghost Recon: Wildlands has a bit of a Far Cry vibe

Ghost Recon: Wildlands sort of looks like "Far Cry: The Shared-world Shooter". I haven't got a copyright on that name, Ubisoft; help yourself.

Announced during Ubisoft's E3 2015 presentation, Ghost Recon: Wildlands looks like a multiplayer third-person action romp with huge maps and loads of mayhem.

It definitely channels a bit of Far Cry, what with the colourful carnage, although there's probably too much third-person gameplay to fit that IP. Was Ghost Recon a better fit? Ehhhh, maybe not - but Square Enix has Just Cause locked down, and new IPs are tricky, so here we are.

Where are we, again? Oh yes: we're looking at some screenshots. You could also look at the Ghost Recon: Wildlands debut trailer, if you liked.
