The best deals for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on PC and console

Monster Hunter World’s meaty expansion Iceborne may have just launched on PC last week but you can get a nice little discount from select PC digital stores.

You'll find the best savings from Green Man Gaming, with 13% off Iceborne’s $39.99/£34.99 price. This also applies to the $49.99/£41.99 deluxe edition if you wanted some extra cosmetics and gestures thrown in.

New fledgling hunters stand to benefit too. The Master Edition bundles the base game with the expansion, which has a 12% discount off its standard $59.99/£49.99 price.

It’s certainly a good time to get into the hunt as the game has seen a huge return of players since Iceborne’s release. This is in spite of some launch hiccups including performance issues and the more alarming concern of save files getting deleted for some players.

Console owners however can find even better deals for Iceborne, which makes sense seeing as the expansion launched for PS4 and Xbox One back in September. Newcomers getting the Master Edition can expect the most savings from Amazon in the US, where it’s currently just under $37 on PS4 and Xbox One.

In the UK, the best deal for PS4 players is to go digital. Thanks to the PSN January Sale, you can get Iceborne for £26.24 or the Master Edition for £33.49. If Xbox players are feeling left out, the upside is that the base game is already available to play on Xbox Game Pass so new hunters can at least get started with that before they make up their minds. In any case, it’s worth reminding that you have to beat the base game and reach Hunter Rank 16 before Iceborne’s content actually unlocks.

Even though it might be considered last-gen, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is also currently on sale on the Switch eShop and it’s arguably rammed with even more monster hunting content than the latest incarnations. The sales however differ from region, so in the UK, it’s half-price at £22.49 while in the US it’s down from $59.99 to $19.99, but the latter’s offer also finishes at the end of the week.
