GameStop taking pre-orders for NGP, laughter ensues

Those ready for a hearty laugh today, should head on over to GameStop and take a gander at the pre-order page for PSP2.

The pre-order can be yours for no less than $999.

It's okay. You can laugh. We did.

Sony announced NGP, otherwise known as PSP2 in Japan today, and has yet to set a price on the handheld. However, Sony has said it won't be $599 and that it will be affordable.

Apparently, GameStop didn't get the memo. Granted, the pre-order page states that the actual price is to be determined, but still, $999? Didn't it do something similar with PS3? Come on, GameStop.
